Partners in Housing Executive Director Jennifer Green to retire, closing out her career dedicated to community development and advocacy for homeless neighbors

Partners in Housing Executive Director, Jennifer Green, has announced that she will retire from Partners in Housing at the end of March, capping a career dedicated to public service.

Jennifer’s last day with Partners in Housing is March 29, 2024.

During her four years with Partners in Housing, Jennifer expanded our programming, grew our staff and boosted our capacity to meet the unique needs of the unsheltered individuals in our community.

She oversaw the renovation of 134 existing units, completed the renovation of two Partners in Housing properties, and secured the funding to construct a 32-unit permanent supportive housing development for families experiencing chronic homelessness. Importantly, she secured the funding so we could provide support services for these critical initiatives. She also increased collaboration with our partners, while strengthening relationships with new and longtime donors.

Jennifer has a long legacy of service in community development and advocacy. She served in leadership positions with the City of Indianapolis’s Department of Metropolitan Development, and was the project manager for Fall Creek Place, the city’s transformational redevelopment of a center city neighborhood in the early 2000s. She also held leadership roles at the Indianapolis Housing Agency before joining Partners in Housing. Last year, she was recognized as a Woman of Influence by the Indianapolis Business Journal.

In order to ensure continuity during the search for a permanent executive director, Monica Lunderman will serve as interim executive director. Monica is currently the director of asset management at RDOOR Housing Corporation, and is very familiar with our team, our programs and our operations.

Monica will be working with Jennifer in the coming weeks to prepare for the transition. We greatly appreciate her willingness to be a part of this effort.

We are so grateful to Jennifer for her service and wish her and her family well during this important next chapter of her life.
