What started as a quiet day at Glenmoor turned into a crisis no one expected. A fire on the second floor sent smoke, water, and structural damage cascading throughout the building. Though reports initially cited only three displaced residents, the truth quickly became clear: every unit had to be vacated. Windows shattered, doors broken, and water soaked through walls and floors—leaving every young adult resident without a home. All residents are uninjured and have been placed in temporary housing, but there's a long road ahead to getting back home.
Glenmoor isn't just a building. It's a haven for young adults aged 18-24 transitioning out of homelessness and/or foster care—a place where independence is nurtured and fresh starts are possible. And now, in the face of sudden displacement, they’re bravely facing yet another turning point.
But they don’t have to do it alone. With your help, we can restore more than walls—we can restore hope.
What We Need Most:
⛽ Gas and food gift cards (with limits no more than $50)
🛏️ New bed linens (full size)
💵 Monetary donations to support temporary shelter, replace essentials, and move residents into new, stable housing
Every contribution—no matter the size—helps provide security, comfort, and dignity during this transition. We’re not just rebuilding rooms. We’re rebuilding routines, trust, and a sense of home.
These young people have already overcome so many barriers. Your generosity reminds them they’re not doing it alone.
